CTWS Encourages Creativity and Innovation at the Sahodaya Inter-School Fancy Dress Competition

Jalandhar, May 24, 2023 : Costumes are vital aspects of a character. Fancy dress encourages a learner to think outside the box and express their point of view of the world around them. Keeping this spirit in mind, CT World School hosted the Sahodaya Inter-School Fancy Dress Competition under the aegis of Sahodaya School Complex, Jalandhar in which 38 schools participated. The Chief Guest was CT Group Co-Chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi. She inaugurated the event with Ms. Madhu Sharma, Principal of CT World School.
The theme-based competition included two categories: Bollywood and Gadgets for grades I and II respectively. The schools that participated in the event constituted Police DAV Public School, Babalalvani Public School, Cambridge International School, Nakodar, Mayor World School, Sanskriti KMV School, DIPS, Kapurthala, etc. The young learners looked vibrant and magnificent in their costumes. The performances included profound imitations of Bollywood artists, famous scenes from movies, and popular gadgets.
The teams were judged by a renowned jury including Mr. Karan Dev Jagota, Actor, Director, and Writer and also a 3 times Gold medallist in the National Youth Festival, Mr. Sharnjit Singh, Art Director in Punjabi movies and a gold medallist in the National Youth Festival.
After the tough competition among the teams, in Category A (Bollywood), LA Blossom School, South City, Jalandhar, and in Category B (Gadgets), CJS Public School, Jalandhar lifted the first position trophies, whereas DIPS, Suranassi (Category A and B), Sant Raghvir Singh AIMS Public School (Category A), Shree Hanumant International School (Category B) won second positions and The Gurukul (Category A and B), DRV DAV Century (Category A), DIPS School, Bhogpur (Category B) remained third. Consolation prizes in Category A (Bollywood) were awarded to Swami Sant Dass Public School, DIPS School, Bhogpur. In Category B (Gadgets) STS World School, LA Blossom School, South City.

CT Group Co-Chairperson Parminder Kaur Channi and Principal Ms. Madhu Sharma congratulated the winners and said that such big level competitions give a wonderful platform to young artists to showcase their talent and build their confidence. Ms. Sharma suggested that such platforms should be provided more often to the students as it helps them in honing their creative skills. The Co-Chairperson wished the winners the best of luck in their future endeavors.
